The Carl F. Bucherer Adamavi collection has been a popular member of the brand’s portfolio for a number of years. While the Lucerne-based firm makes some highly complicated models such as perpetual calendars and tourbillons, the Adamavi range wholeheartedly embraces the notion of simplicity.

Adamavi is a Latin word meaning ‘to come to love something’ or ‘to take pleasure in something’. Recently, the Swiss marque unveiled new versions of the Carl F. Bucherer Adamavi AutoDate. These new versions encompass subtle shades, including dark grey, dark blue and ‘nude’. Moreover, the brand offers each dial in two case sizes, 31mm or 39mm, both executed in stainless steel.

The dials feature vertical satin brush, slender hands and indexes, all contributing to each models’ tasteful appearance. Everything is distilled to a pure conclusion that is free of clutter, imparting time with maximum efficiency. All of the models are presented on retro-style Milanese bracelets and feature automatic movements.

Minimalist: Clear Lines

The six new members of the Adamavi family are sleek and minimalist in design.

The three models with 39 mm and 31 mm diameters are enclosed in sophisticated stainless steel and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Long, slim hands and stick indices guarantee absolute clarity. A vertical satin finish lends the coloured dials – in elegant nude, blue, or dark grey – a modern look and feel. The interplay of various textures and shapes is a leitmotif that runs through the latest additions to the otherwise traditional product line: the polished sections of the circular case contrast harmoniously with the finely woven Milanese bracelet.

The two different case sizes ensure that the new models are not only the perfect fit for any wrist, but also make them ideal as a pair – a brilliant duet that celebrates togetherness, and good taste.

Complex: Precise Technology

The mechanical workings of the Adamavi AutoDate combine the modern design of the timepieces with Carl F. Bucherer’s long-standing tradition of watchmaking. The models with a 39 mm diameter feature a CFB 1950 calibre automatic movement, while the 31 mm diameter models are built with a CFB 1963 calibre automatic movement with a power reserve of 38 hours. Both calibres reliably and precisely power the hours, minutes, seconds, and the date display at 3 o’clock. The delicate mechanism is securely protected: the watches are water-resistant up to 3 bar (30 meters).

The patented folding clasp, which Carl. F Bucherer offers on all of its Adamavi models with a Milanese bracelet, is as exact as it is innovative. What makes the closure so special is the flap that is attached to the clasp. It uses grooved indents to securely fasten the watch onto the wearer’s wrist, making it easy to adjust the length of the bracelet without it slipping through the clasp.

Timeless: The Adamavi Collection

All models in the Adamavi collection are characterized by timeless, minimalist elegance and reliable mechanics. The new coloured additions to the collection are joining a classic version with a silver dial, also available with a 31 mm or 39 mm diameter, as well as various models with gold or silver accents, date display, or small seconds. They are all elegant representatives of the traditional art of watchmaking that is truly “Made of Lucerne”.
