Sobieski Vodka
Award-winning Sobieski vodka, one of Poland’s best-loved premium vodkas, has announced the launch of an exciting new promotional phase in the UK market, that will see the popular spirit hitting the shelves of one of the country’s leading supermarkets for the very first time. Philip Day provides a fascinating insight into this brand of vodka and even suggests a couple of cocktail that you may wish to try.
Sobieski rye vodka
The unmistakable red and silver-adorned bottles of this award-winning 100% rye vodka, named after the 17th century Polish King and soldier, Jan III Sobieski, will begin appearing in Morrisons stores around the country from 27th February. This popular premium vodka brand distilled at Starogard Gdanski distillery, one of Poland’s oldest distilleries, dating back to 1846, epitomises Polish craftsmanship and authenticity. It is produced using a unique blend of rye.
Bottled in Poland, SOBIESKI® is available in its pure ‘original’ form, as well as in several subtle flavours; these include espresso, cinnamon, mandarin and vanilla.
Perfect vodka for cocktails
SOBIESKI vodka is perfect for cocktails or to sip and savour on its own, as the combination of rye and crystal-clear spring water gives the vodka purity, a subtle aroma of matured Polish grain and a silky, smooth, delicate taste.
This new UK listing marks a key milestone for Sobieski in the UK. Jamie Stewart, the brands UK Commercial Director of its parent company LMB-UK, explains:

SOBIESKI® Jolly Juice
Ingredients
- 5 parts SOBIESKI® vodka spirit
- 2.5 parts pomegranate juice
- 2 parts lime juice
- 1.5 part agave nectar
- 1 rosemary stem
- Ice cubes
Method:
Pour in the vodka, pomegranate juice, lime and agave. Add the ice cubes, stir and garnish with a rosemary stem.
So’ Cranberry
Ingredients
- 1 part SOBIESKI® vodka spirit
- 2 parts cranberry juice
- A squeeze of lime
- A few mint leaves
- Ice cubes
Method:
Add the vodka, cranberry, lime and mint. Stir and garnish with a small sprig of fresh mint.
