Cuervo y Sobrinos can trace its origins to 1882 when Don Ramón and his nephews (sobrinos in Spanish) established their jewellery business in the heart of Havana, Cuba.
During the 20th century, this prestigious firm, popular with the great and the good, established facilities in Paris, Pforzheim and La Chaux-de-Fonds. This latter city, located in the Jura mountains, was ideally placed for making Cuervo y Sobrinos timepieces.
Today, the company is headquartered close to the shores of Lake Lugano in Switzerland. However, the brand continues to enjoy close ties with Cuba, a place that continues to influence the design of the brand’s present-day models.
