Just in time for the festive season, Bardinet has launched a new limited edition 1 litre festive bottling of Bardinet VSOP and suggested three festive cocktails for your delectation.

With its eye-catching red and gold patterns, it’s the perfect pack for offering as a gift and adding a touch of seasonal sparkle to any celebrations.

Leading mixologist Adrian Gomes has created three deliciously decadent  Bardinet brandy cocktails, perfect for the party season, to showcase the rich flavour and versatility of this award-winning spirit (‘Champagne Mule’, ‘Bardinet Sangaree’ and ‘Boxing Day Punch’).

Bardinet Festive cocktails – Champagne Mule (aperitif)

A sparkling pre-dinner drink that will set the scene and tantalise your tastebuds.

  • 30ml Bardinet VSOP
  • 100ml Brut Champagne/Sparkling Wine
  • 15ml Stem Ginger Syrup
  • Fresh Lime
  • Dash Aromatic Bitters (*optional)

Method: Pre-chill all ingredients. In a flute, add Bardinet VSOP, stem ginger syrup and the juice of a ¼ lime. Add a dash of aromatic bitters, before topping up with Champagne or sparkling wine.  Garnish with one of the stem gingers in the bottom of the glass.

Bardinet Festive cocktails – Bardinet Sangaree (digestif)

A delicious post-dinner sipper, combining Bardinet’s luxurious VSOP with the elegance of Tawny Port.

  • 50ml Bardinet VSOP
  • 25ml Tawny Port
  • Nutmeg (garnish)

Method: Add Bardinet and Port to a mixing glass and stir over ice.  Strain into a small Port or Sherry goblet and grate some nutmeg over the top for a garnish before serving.

Bardinet Festive cocktails – Boxing Day Punch

This sharing punch is guaranteed to impress when your friends gather to toast your gathering, with its rich seasonal flavours.

Mix 50ml Bardinet VSOP, together with 2 tsp Damson Plum Conserve (such as Bonne Maman), 15ml fresh lemon juice and 2 drops of almond extract in a highball glass and stir well to dissolve the conserve.

Then add a splash of ginger beer and stir again, before adding ice and topping up with more ginger beer.  Give a final stir to mix well and garnish with a lemon wheel.
