DuBois et fils Watch Reviews

Philippe DuBois opened his factory in Le Locle back in 1785 and for a long time, the company enjoyed much commercial success. Eventually DuBois et fils was sold to German owners in 1980s and lay dormant for a number of years. However, in 2010, Thomas Steinemann, a veteran of the watch industry and son of Basel, acquired the company.

He went on to raise capital using crowdfunding, an innovative concept at the time. The brand is now owned by numerous investors from all walks of life with Steinemann at the helm.

In 2017, DuBois et fils acquired 230,000 vintage movements which it has successfully incorporated within its most recent models. Indeed, blending modern-day habillage with period movements has become a defining characteristic of this luxury Swiss Maison.
