Bladnoch Wave II Whisky Feature
Following the success of Bladnoch Wave I, the distillery will release Bladnoch Wave II on Saturday 14 June 2025 with a rare treat for whisky lovers, packed with flavour. Visitors will have the opportunity to indulge in ‘expert-led tasting’, partake in a ‘short immersive theatre experience’ and purchase food, all to the accompaniment of live music.
Bladnoch Distillery Wave Day
This special one-day festival commemorates the release of Bladnoch Wave II, the spectacular second chapter in the Master Distiller’s Collection which successfully launched last year with Bladnoch Wave I: Time & Maturation.
This year’s Wave Day will be the first opportunity whisky enthusiasts will have to sample and get their hands on Wave II, exclusively available at Bladnoch Distillery on Saturday 14 June, prior to the remaining bottles going up for sale via Bladnoch’s online shop from Monday 16 June onwards.
Bladnoch Wave II – launch date
At 12 noon on the 14th June, on the lade at Bladnoch Distillery, the celebrations will commence. The distillery shop will be open, alongside a pop-up full bar, where single malt enthusiasts can gather and sample the many exceptional Lowland whiskies from Bladnoch’s portfolio.

Among the many highlights of the day will be: an interactive tasting of Wave II with Bladnoch’s master distiller, Dr Nick Savage; a short, immersive theatre experience inspired by the story of the distillery, performed by Mark Rannoch, Bladnoch’s UK brand ambassador; live music will be played throughout the day, with contributions from local folk musicians from The Vault Arts Centre in Newton Stewart who will open the event, followed later by singer-songwriter Katie Mac who will perform renditions of hits from throughout the decades.
Food will also be available from vendors, including vegan and gluten-free options.
A collectable dram of Wave II
As an added bonus, each guest who purchases a full-size bottle of whisky from the distillery on Wave Day: Saturday 14 June 2025 will be rewarded with a complimentary 50ml collectable dram of Wave II.
Bladnoch Distillery – extend your whisky experience
Whisky enthusiasts may also wish to extend their whisky experience on Sunday 15 June with a bespoke Wave tour of the distillery, which will offer a deeper dive into Bladnoch’s craftsmanship and intricate whisky-making process.
If guests wish to undertake this special tour, on Sunday 15th June, tours are available to pre-book at 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm on the Bladnoch website.
